Arts Clubs Programme

The Arts Clubs Programme is the essential pipeline for future creatives, transitioning students from artistic interest to professional career readiness within the formal school system. By embedding arts entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and IP protection into a standardized, resource-equipped curriculum, we are building a foundation for an economically sustainable creative workforce nationwide.

  • Standardized, three-tiered arts curriculum.
  • Integration of financial literacy and IP rights.
  • Equipping schools with professional 'Starter Kits'.
  • Building career readiness for creative students.
  • Focus on turning passion into a viable profession.
  • Pilot aims for a 50% increase in economic literacy.

From Hobbyist to Entrepreneur: Building Sustainable Careers

The Arts Clubs Programme is the cornerstone of our strategy to develop the next generation of Tanzanian creatives. Established as structured, extracurricular hubs within primary and secondary schools, the clubs go far beyond traditional art class, focusing on career readiness and economic literacy. Our primary objective is to instill the mindset and skills required to turn creative passion into a viable, income-generating profession.

Comprehensive Curriculum:
The programme utilizes a standardized, three-tiered curriculum delivered over an academic year, covering:

  • Visual Arts: Techniques in drawing, painting, mixed media, and digital illustration.
  • Music and Performance: Basic instrumental skills, music theory, and vocal training.
  • Cultural Heritage: Documentation, appreciation, and modern interpretation of traditional Tanzanian art forms.

Ensuring Resource Equity

To ensure quality and standardized instruction regardless of school location, every participating club receives a professionally curated "Moyo Starter Kit." These kits contain all necessary high-quality instruments (keyboards, guitars, drums), advanced art supplies (paints, canvases), and digital resources, removing the barrier of resource scarcity in underserved schools.

Focus on Creative Entrepreneurship (CE)

The key differentiator is the integration of CreativeEntrepreneurship modules in the final term. These workshops cover:
The pilot phase aims to establish 10 fully operational clubs and demonstrate that students exiting the program have a measurable 50% increase in IP and financial literacy knowledge compared to baseline assessments.
