Our ability to scale our impact relies heavily on the energy and expertise contributed by our dedicated volunteers. The Volunteer Programs match skilled individuals—from students and retirees to working professionals—with specific organizational needs in our core programs.

Volunteer Roles and Placement.

We offer structured roles across four main streams:

- Education Support:

Assisting Arts Club instructors and developing curriculum materials.

- Research and Advocacy:

Data collection, literature review, and policy analysis support.

- Event Management:

Assisting with the planning, promotion, and execution of Mtima wa Moyo and other events.

- Technical Assistance (SAC):

Utilizing expertise in architecture, sound engineering, or digital arts to advise on the Sanaa Arts Centre.

Structured Exchange

For international volunteers, the program includes a structured orientation on Tanzanian culture, language basics, and the local arts ecosystem. This ensures the exchange is mutually beneficial, providing high-value skills to the Initiative while offering volunteers a deep, immersive experience.
